- For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
my glory, and the lifter of my head. - “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul. - By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
- For you are my rock and my fortress;
and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me. - My times are in your hand;
rescue me from the hand of my enemies
and from my persecutors! - For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. - I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - Hear, my son, and accept my words,
that the years of your life may be many. - Your testimonies are my heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart. - If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah - God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer's;
he makes me tread on my high places. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you. - My son, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Let them not escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart. - Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my pleas for mercy!
In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness! - Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- My lips will shout for joy,
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have redeemed. - He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.”
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.Next verse!With image
