- Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
- The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
