- I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - Help us, God our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and forgive our sins
for your name’s sake. - If either of them falls down,

I made the widow’s heart sing. - You make your saving help my shield,
and your right hand sustains me;
your help has made me great.
You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way. - And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.

listen to my cry for help;
do not be deaf to my weeping.
I dwell with you as a foreigner,
a stranger, as all my ancestors were. - God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
- For I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.
- Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. - But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.

and a brother is born for a time of adversity. - The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit. - In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety. - The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
- If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
- I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue. - Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.Next verse!With image
