- Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend
forsakes the fear of the Almighty. - I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth. - I have not departed from the commands of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. - The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;
in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress. - But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
My feet have closely followed his steps;
I have kept to his way without turning aside. - At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.” - The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
- I made a covenant with my eyes
not to look lustfully at a young woman. - Blessed is the one whom God corrects;
so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. - After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.Next verse!With image
