- For the Lord loves the just
and will not forsake his faithful ones.
Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed;
the offspring of the wicked will perish. - God is our refuge and strength,

And who is the Rock except our God? - When I said, “My foot is slipping,”

and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you. - He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. - The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever. - Lord, hear my prayer,
listen to my cry for mercy;
in your faithfulness and righteousness
come to my relief. - May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread. - God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
